The salt lake city library is a building surrounded by a square that was designed with the purpose not only to serve as an access to the building but also to serve the city as a place to stay and a connection between both.
The building is constituted by five floors and the floor plan has a semicircular form, the horizontal circulation for the building is defined by a hallway that is near the façade that holds the same semi circular language as the floor plan, raping itself around the building and establishing a connection between the spaces which have a great visual to the square and the structure of the façade accentuates that visual creating a window like effect.
Another important aspect that contributes to define the circulation is the light because all the materials that were used in the construction help to improve the quality of natural light that isbrought to the building and this light particularly was redirected to illuminate the hallway.
The vertical circulation is constituted by a very traditional manner, which is stairs that connect one level to another and also defined by the elevators.
